Nationalism

Ideology that formed from the French Revolution and that links the individual to the state, giving rise to the so-called nation-states of today. According to historian Eric Hobsbawm one cannot understand 20th century history without the ideas of nation and nationalism. Around this, many wars were made, and the world map was drawn countless times. There are many forms of nationalism. The most exacerbated is what is at the origin of the construction of fascism and results in the discrimination of others - peoples / nationalities.
